Ministry of Hackman Affairs

I want to draw your attention to a disturbing and dangerous development at this all-important Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Ghana. A cross section of workers are up in arms against the Minister for his dictatorial postures, a situation which if not checked could explode and threaten the peace of the nation Ghana's Foreign policy apparatus will suffer a major setback and credibility loss.

Ghanaians applauded the smooth transition to the NPP and were full of expectations to deliver on its promises. However the minister has turned the place into Ministry of Hackman Affairs - favoritism, nepotism, tribalism and unprecedented arbitrariness has reared its ugly head. Violation of Human Rights is the order of the day and the rule of law thrown to the dogs. Though he claims to have the prerogative to make decision, he should use it sensibly. Let us defeat such injustices in the society. In his over-excessive zeal he has stigmatized the rules and regulations and marginalized a section of the staff, who he refers to as 'Gbeho Boys' the people are distraught, morale is low why should the minister recruit new officers and give them titles they do not deserve to the detriment of serving officers who have worked tirelessly for mother Ghana.

Posting abroad is done in a patronizing manner and as a political weapon against perceived opposition. Training programmes are offered to favorites of the minister at his pleasure and he determines who travels with him without due regard to schedule officer. Promotions are done at his convenience using political deceit to suit his mischievous political agenda. This matter has come into the media before but he has bought his way through using PR to defend the indefensible. Well meaning Ghanaians should take the trouble to investigate this wrong doing as well the fourth estate of realm have to safeguard democracy
