50 Million Cedis Mosque Commissioned At AMASS

Kumasi,(Greater Accra) 4 Nov. Maulvi Abdul Wahab Adam, Ameer and Missionary in-charge of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission in Ghana has commissioned a 50 million cedi Mosque for students of the Ahmadiyya Secondary School (AMASS) in Kumasi. The project, started about 20 years ago was financed through collaborative efforts of Muslim parents, the School and some philanthropists including Mr. Yusif Ahmed Adusei, Proprietor of the Tahweed Laboratories in Kumasi. The Ameer said the school has contributed greatly towards the development of education in the country and has chalked a lot of successes in all spheres of education. He said in spite of this, the school faces challenges in academic excellence, discipline and in religion. He called on Muslims to let these challenges be their concern and work to improve educational standards not only in the school but in all educational programmes in of country. Mr. Ibrahim K. Gyasi, Headmaster of the school said the mosque was not meant for the student population alone but can be used by other Muslims in the area. He advised the students to make good use of the mosque by praying in it as expected of them to receive God's blessings and guidance. Mr. A. J. E. Adam, Imam of the school urged the students to let discipline and respect for teachers and colleagues continue to prevail in the school.
