Popular radio personality and member of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Abeiku Santana, has said the party will win the 2016 elections because Ghanaians will not vote for a leader who cannot keep his house in order.
In an apparent reference to the wrangling in the main opposition New Patriotic Party, the Okay FM Drive Time host said it will be a tragedy for Ghanaians to elect a candidate who does not respect the internal democracy of his party.
Addressing a mammoth rally of NDC supporters in the Eastern region, Santana said the 2016 elections is a done deal for the umbrella family.
“How can we vote for a house that is already on fire? How can we vote for a leader who cannot maintain peace in his own home and does not respect the internal democracy of his own party? If you can’t maintain calm in your home, how then can you keep the whole Ghana together? It’s not possible.
“We will vote for a president who is humble, handsome, tolerant and peaceful like John Mahama,” he stated.
President Mahama is on a nationwide tour to canvass support for his candidature for the upcoming presidential and parliamentary primaries of the NDC. He is contesting as an unopposed candidate in the November 7 primaries.
