Ghanaians are being asked to pay 1.4 million cedis just to have a dinner with President Kufuor. Guess what? You'll also have to buy a return air-ticket, since the event will be taking place in London.

According to the organizers - NEW PATRIOTIC PARTY UK & IRELAND BRANCH - of this so-called fund-raising Dinner and Dance to be held in honour of His Excellency John Agyekum Kufuor, the evnt will take place on Saturday, 22nd March 2003 at the Savoy Hotel London - one of the most expensive hotels in London.

What does one get for 14million cedis: cocktail plus 3 course meal and a chance to see Wofa Zelo.

The big question is: If this is not a state event, then we will want to know if the president will be travelling at the state's expense
