Evangelist Patricia Asieduaa Asiamah, also known as Agradaa, of Heavens Way International Ministry has been released from prison.
In a video shared on Facebook by Angel Asiamah, her husband, on March 3, 2026, Nana Agradaa was seen at her residence with him and other family members, all dressed in white.
Angel Asiamah captioned the post, “Thank God my wife is finally home.”
On February 5, 2026, the imprisoned televangelist appeared before the Amasaman High Court for judgment in her appeal.
After hours of proceedings, the court reduced her initial 15-year sentence to 12 months on counts two and three.
Why Agradaa's sentence has been reduced
She was also fined 200 penalty units (GH₵2,400) and ordered to refund GH₵1,000 to her two complainants, in addition to fines imposed on count one.
Reports indicate that the court described the original 15-year hard labour sentence as harsh and excessive. While upholding her conviction, the judge exercised discretion to vary the punishment.
The revised sentence, which took effect from her conviction on July 3, 2025, meant that the Founder of Heaven Way Champion International Ministry was to serve a total of one year in prison.
Agradaa was convicted on July 3, 2025, by an Accra Circuit Court on multiple charges, including charlatanic advertisement and defrauding by false pretence.
The case stemmed from her promotion of a so-called money-doubling scheme during services at her church in Weija, Greater Accra Region.
During the televised service, she allegedly promised congregants miraculous financial returns in exchange for money. The promises were not fulfilled, leading to complaints from participants.
