Twins dazzle at tennis tourney

Twin sisters Brenda and Bridget Sutinga stole the show during the Republic Day Singles Tennis Championship.

Organized by the 4 Garrison Officers Mess Tennis Club in Kumasi, the tourney was played for both male and female categories.

And in the female category, the twin sisters mesmerized their respective opponents, setting a tricky final between them.

Brenda was in top shape as she easily defeated her sister Bridget 6-0 to lift the giant trophy at stake.

The tournament was open to members of the 4 Garrison Tennis Club only and was played in an all-play-all format.

In the male category, Michael Ofosu Appiah beat Samuel Adu Boakye 6-4 in the first semi finals.

The second semi final between president of the club Samuel Ampadu-Kyei aka ‘Kyikyis’ and Kwasi Dekyi, was rained off.

Ampadu-Kyei said the tournament would be played annually to deepen friendship among members.
