National Table Tennis League ends this weekend

Accra, Sept 4, GNA - The Akosombo Textile Limited (ATL) sponsored National Table Tennis League enters the ultimate week with the final round of matches on Saturday, September 6 at the D.G. Hathiramani Sports Hall of the Ohene Djan Stadium, Accra. A statement issued by Kwame Amponfi, General Secretary of the Ghana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) to GNA Sports said the fixtures of the women's division has Greater Accra facing Brong Ahafo, Air Force versus Backhanders and Army against CEPS as some of the attractive pairings.

Immigration will face Street Academy while GUSA clashes with Top Spinners, Police will meet Ashanti Loopers while Western face New Juaben. In the male division, Accra Academy will face league leaders Immigration in the topmost clash.

Immigration has 46 points, two more than their closest contenders Navy and will wrap up the title by avoiding defeat. In the other pairings, Police will face Brong Ahafo while Vilca Bamba slugs it out with Cape Coast. The Army team will meet Western, Street Academy against New Juaben and Educators meet Ashanti Loopers. Backhanders, La Dadekotopon, Navy, Accra Poly and Koforidua Club will face Greater Accra, Tesano Club, CEPS, Winneba Advance and White Loopers respectively. Lamptey Mills will come up against Air Force whilst Mallas Cold Store shakes it off against Fire Service. The event is expected to be graced by Mr. Walter Esposito, Executive Director (ATL) and Prince Ernest Oduro Mensah, Chief Executive Officer of the National Sports Council.
