Telecom Ladies pip Heman Royal Queens

Cape Coast, Nov. 22 GNA - Cape Coast Ghana Telecom Ladies beat Prestea Heman Royal Queens 1-0 in the Western/Central Regional Women's Soccer League match at the Cape Coast Sports stadium on Saturday.

Telecom Ladies took control of the game right from the blast of the referee's whistle and following series of attack in their opponents vital area, inside left, Janet Owusu delivered a pile driver of a shot in the sixth minute to record the goal that turned out to be the match winner.

Royal Queens, however warmed themselves into the game and twice came close to scoring but their forwards squandered the chances that came their way.

On resumption of the second half, the trend again changed with Telecom Ladies continuing to pile pressure on their opponents but the defence of Royal Queens worked over time to foil the dangerous moves of the aggressive forwards of Telecom Ladies to end the game with a narrow win.
