MTN FA Cup Committee chairman Kurt Okraku fears the winner of this year’s competition might not be able to compete in the 2017 CAF Confederation Cup.

This is because the quartet in this season’s semi-final lack the financial wherewithal to embark

Liberty Professionals, Bechem United, Okwahu United and lower division side Wa Rockets are all on shoestring budgets.

"I think a lot goes into campaigning on the African terrain. Its not only about the quality of playing personnel," Okraku told Starr FM.

"In terms of financial strength, i think that’s where we all have a challenge."

All two semi-final matches will be played on Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium and telecast live on TV.
