The Sports Ministry has secured a sponsorship deal for the Ghana Premier League from an unnamed Asian Oil company, Ghanasportsonline.com can report.

Nii Lantey Vanderpujye and his cohorts are reported to have agreed with the said Oil Company to become the headline sponsor of the domestic top-flight.

The League is currently without a sponsor following Capital Bank’s decision to cancel their five-year deal with the Ghana Football Association.

The Nation’s football governing body has since failed to secure a sponsor for the League which has left complains from the Clubs.

Several Clubs have threatened to pull-out of the League due to financial constraints.

The Ministry is however expected to confirm the deal with the Asian company in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile the Ghana Football Association according to reports are planning to reject the sponsorship deal for the League with some top Clubs expressing their interest in the deal.
