Ex-Ghana striker joins Dutch amateur side Halsteren

Former Ghana striker Matthew Amoah has joined Dutch Hoofdklasse side Halsteren for next season, GHANASoccernet.com

The club confirmed the deal on Monday after leaving Baronie at the end of the season.

"I am happy," the 35-year-old striker said. "I saw Halsteren this year a few times; it's a good team. I must show that I can play for the team."

Amoah is a household name in Netherlands having played NAC and Vitesse.

Halsteren starts preparations on June 23.
