Foreign-based Ghanaian players return to their clubs Foreign-based Ghanaian players return to their clubs

The final batch of foreign-based players of the Black Stars has left Accra for their clubs on Wednesday night.

Jonathan Mensah, Mubarak Wakaso, Ebenezer Assifuah, Harrison Afful, Daniel Amartey and Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu meet up at the Kotoka International Airport on Wednesday night to catch their flights to their various destinations.

Most of the players will be transiting the Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam to connect to different flights to their final destination.

Twenty (20) out of the twenty-three (23) players called up by Avram Grant for the 2018 World Cup qualifier against Comoros are based outside the country.

The players had arrived over a week ago to prepare for the two-legged tie against the Islanders in which Ghana eventually secured a 2-0 aggregate scoreline to progress to the final phase of the qualifiers.

Most of the returning players from the Black Stars camp will be in action this weekend for their respective clubs.
