Solomon Asante: Ghana can win 2015 AFCON

TP Mazembe icon Solomon Asante insists Ghana have quality to conquer Africa at the Nations Cup finals in Equatorial Guinea next year.

The 24-year-old pocket size right-winger believes the current select band of players are ready for the tough task next January.

Ghana must be at their best to scale over Senegal, Algeria and South Africa in Group C which has been tagged as the most dangerous group.

The Black Stars will parade a young squad but Asante is convinced they have the pedigree to end their trophy drought.

“We have a very good squad with experienced players that have been in a winning situation at various levels,” Asante told GHANASoccernet.com

“The team has under gone transition after the world cup but the spirit of the Black Stars remains intact.

“Our final qualifying games had goals and we played quite well in during the last game so the feeling is good.

“Other teams have a chance too but we are Ghana and we have to concentrate on our strength and if we play to that we can win the tournament.”
