GHALCA Top 4 to commence late August

The 2014 GHALCA top four competition has been scheduled to take place between the 20th of August to the 14th of September.

The annual competition which has been designed for the top four participating teams in the Ghana premier league will see league Champions Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Lions, Accra Hearts of Oak and Ashanti Gold who finished first, second, third and fourth in the First Capital plus premier league respectively compete in this year’s event.

“The top four will take place from 20th of this month to the 14th of September this year. We are yet to confirm the sponsors for the competition as we will be meeting next week to finalize everything,” Chairman of GHALCA Alhaji Raji told Ghanasportsonline.com.

“We have also put some incentives on board this time around, but I cannot reveal it for now because we have to wait till we meet next week,” he added.

This year’s GHALCA top four tournament will be played at two venues. Asante Kotoko and Ashanti Gold will have their home games played at the Kumasi Babayara Sports Stadium whiles Accra Hearts of Oak and Kpando Hearts of Lions play their home games at the Accra Sports Stadium.
