Ayew is a world-class player - Appiah

Winger Andre Ayew has been given a “world-class” tag by his Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah.

The Olympic Marseille player has been very consistent with his influential performances for the Black Stars since 2010.

The 24-year-old, who is currently recuperating from an injury, will be expected to maintain his fine form at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil this summer.

“Andre is a world-class player. And the good thing about him that all Ghanaians love is that when the team is down, he pushes everyone to fight,” Appiah told

The former Ghana Under-20 captain will be making his second World Cup appearance after helping Ghana to reach the quarter-finals at the 2010 edition in South Africa.
