Give me one more chance - Ahorlu tells Appiah

Hearts of Lions goalkeeper Stephen Ahorlu is pleading with Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah to offer him another call-up ahead of the 2014 World Cup to prove his worth.

The former Medeama shot-stopper told Accra-based Oman FM that he is on top of his game and a contender for the first-choice spot of the national team.

“I am ready to play for the Black Stars, I’ve conceded less goals in the Ghana Premier League as Hearts of Lions keeper. I only need another chance to justify myself to prove to Ghanaians what I am capable of,” Ahorlu stated.

The Custodian downplayed claims that he is rusty and lacks the quality for the Mundial scheduled to take place in Brazil next year.

“What about Richard Kingson? He is still playing. I just started football early that’s how come people think I’m old,” Ahorlu, who was part of the 2010 World Cup squad in South Africa pointed out.
