We are happy about the Ayews return- Gyan

Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan says the entire team hailed the return of the Ayew brothers when it was first announced to them.

The two Olympique Marseille players announced their return to the national team on Tuesday following an invention by President John Dramani Mahama.

The duo (Andre and Jordan), who missed last January’s Africa Cup of Nations tournament in South Africa are yet to play for the Black Stars in 2013.

Speaking ahead the team’s must win World Cup qualifier against the Crocodiles of Lesotho in Maseru on Sunday, the 27-year-old Al Ain striker told XYZ Sports that the Ayew'’s comeback will have a significant bearing on the team.

"I feel that talking about the Ghanaian team, Unity counts a lot, we are happy for the Ayew brothers. They have played in the team before and only went for a break so we are happy to see them back. "

Gyan who has made 72 appearances for the Black Stars after scoring against Somalia in his debut match in 2003 will be hoping to increase his goal tally on Sunday.

The former Sunderland striker's two goals against Sudan last weekend moved his goal tally to 34.
