Black Stars coach, Millan Zivadinovic has completed his monitoring programme on some Ghanaian players in the Turkish region for consideration into the Black Stars.

Their inclusion is to ensure Ghana’s qualification to the African Cup of Nations in 2004 to be hosted by Tunisia and a possible qualification to the World Cup 2006 to be hosted by Germany.

The coach, who left Ghana a couple of weeks ago after completing a training programme with locally based players, is now in Greece.

Ghana has a great potential of players plying their trade with Greek clubs. Notable amongst them are Olympiakos striker, Peter Ofori-Quaye and Panathinaikos play-maker, Derek Boateng who is also finding it difficult getting into the starting line-up of his club.

Millan Zivadinovic is expected to hold discussions with the players about his plans and programme. The coach would also interact with the foreign coaches of the players to find out about their work rate and progress.

He is also expected to brief them on his camping programme and the mode of call-ups.

This is to avoid the situation where clubs refuse to release players for assignment’s involving their native country.

From Greece, Millan would be heading straight to his home region, Yugoslavia, where he would be holding discussions with the country’s FA for a possible international friendly with the Black Stars.

After concluding discussions with the Yugoslav FA, Millan would head straight to Accra to complete his assessment of the locally based players by monitoring their performance in the premier league.
