Accra, Sept. 30, GNA - Premier League champions, Berekum Chelsea hav= e vowed to halt FC Nania when the two sides face off in the Sly Tetteh Super Cup on Sunday, October 3 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Berekum-based Club lost on penalties to the second-tier side in the semi-final of the FA Cup, and have made public their intentions to avenge the loss in the first official match of the 2011/2012 season.

Orlando Wellington, assistant coach of Chelsea FC at a press conference to launch the one-off match on Friday, said his outfit is on song after claiming the G8 Cup adding that Nania cannot spoil their party.

"We cannot lie low to succumb for the second time to Nania. Another defeat will make our League triumph price-less," Wellington said. The former Black Satellites trainer admitted however that they are war= y of the Division One campaigners, but are ready to put the brakes on their exploits.

"We respect them and are aware they have a youthful side. We have brought on board some new players and hope they can lead us to annex the title."

Chelsea also beat Kumasi Asante Kotoko on penalties to lift the President's Cup last season.

Meanwhile, Kwesi Nyantakyi, President of the Ghana Football Associatio= n (GFA) said his outfit decided to christen the trophy after the late Alhaji Ibrahim Sly Tetteh in recognition of his contribution to the development of Ghana football.

"It is the first time the GFA has taken a giant and bold initiative to name one of its products after one of our own. The decision is to honour a colleague and brother Sly Tetteh.

"The GFA's token of recognition is to name the Super Cup after him= .. This is to keep reminding us of the good works of Sly Tetteh during his life." Nyantakyi said a percentage of the proceeds will be devoted to a Fund to support the family of the late President of Liberty Professionals. Tetteh passed away on September 3 at a hospital in Cape Coast after a short illness.
