All set for GHALCA Top Four

Accra, July 28, GNA - All is set for the commencement of the 2010 Edition of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) Top Four competition.

The competition designed for the first four clubs at the end of every soccer season, will see Hearts playing host to Kpando Heart of Lions at the Ohene Djan Stadium with Ashgold taking on league champions Aduana Stars at the Dormaa Stadium, on Sunday, August 1 for the first week matches.

The second week matches slated for Wednesday, August 4, has defending champions Heart of Lions battling Ashgold at the Ohene Djan Stadium, Accra whilst Aduana Stars play host to Hearts of Oak at the Dormaa Stadium.

Ashgold will host Hearts of Oak at the Len Clay Stadium, Obuasi with Lions taking on Aduana Stars at the Len Clay Stadium on Sunday, August 8 to round up the first round matches.

Kurt E. Okraku Administrative Manager of GHALCA told the GNA Sports that, the competition is without a head line sponsor, adding that, it is under the sponsorship of the Association.

He however noted that, the competition has received sponsorship from Voltic Ghana Limited, Tyron Ghana Limited, Kumesh Ghana Limited and Rajj Limited.

On officiating, Okraku noted that the Association has selected eight best referees from the local scene to officiate in the competition.

GHALCA will on Thursday, July 29, formally launch the competition at the Media Centre of the Ohene Djan Stadium.
