Al - Ittifaq Offers Prince Tagoe A Fresh Deal

FOLLOWING his superlative outing in the Asian Football Champions League which saw him score two spectacular goals to help his side register four goals past Al Shabab in match day 3 of the competition, officials of Al Ittifaq have offered Ghanaian hitman, Prince Tagoe, a mouth-watering deal in a desperate attempt to keep him at the club. After putting his side ahead on the seventh minute mark, Tagoe again set up Ittifaq's third goal before following it up with a personal second and his side's fourth on the night in a 4-0 thumping of his former club to send the crowd at the Prince Mohamed Bin Fahad Stadium into raptures. The new deal is reportedly twice as lucrative as his current contract and if signed, will see the Ghanaian striker join the top paid stars in the Arab world.

But “The Prince of Goals” has explained to 90 MINUTES that he is bent on helping his team win the Asian Champions League after which he would weigh the options available and make a decision on his future. He stressed that though his club officials have approached him several times with enticing offers to extend his deal with Ittifaq, he has declined because he wants to consider other available offers from Europe where he eventually wants to ply his trade. “They want me to stay here for at least the next three years and are prepared to offer me whatever I ask for. But I don't think money is the issue but purely football reasons because I feel I need bigger challenges even though signing on the dotted lines for Ittifaq cannot be ruled out completely,” he added.
