Eleven Wise Boss Promises Great Comeback

After grabbing a convincing win in their opener of the on-going Polytank Division One Middle League, against Norchip on Wednesday at the Carl Reindorff Park in Dansoman, CEO of one-time Premiership giants, Sekondi Eleven Wise, Jamil Maraby, has revealed in an interview that his side is set to record similar victories in their two remaining matches as they are bent on a great comeback to the elite division of Ghanaian football.

Sekondi Eleven Wise, who suffered relegation to the lower division more than a decade ago, put up an impressive performance to thrash Norchip 3-1 in their premiership campaign opener, and that made many fans that turned up to witness the encounter tip the Sekondi lads for a comeback including their CEO.

He said , after a long stay in the ‘wilderness’, Sekondi Eleven Wise, now appears set to rejoin the likes of Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak, Ashgold, King Faisal, Liberty Professionals as well as fellow Sekondi Hasaacas to enjoy top flight football.

According to Jamal Maraby, former manager of Division One side Nania F/C, the current Eleven Wise side, that poses of the likes of, Winfred Dormon, former Great Olympics star, James Bissue, Moro Cantona, Fred Osei, who were all on target for the team last Wednesday among others, will be a delight to watch in the Onetouch Premier League next season.

‘Watching the team play against Norchip on Wednesday tells one clearly that the side is meant to be in the Premiership and not the Division One. Norchip have had their share of the Eleven Wise cake and I hope they will communicate the message to both Samartex and West Ham United, who are our next opponents as to what they should expect from us when we play them’ he said.

‘Its even unfortunate we had to concede a goal in Wednesday’s game because we have vowed not to pick any ball from our net in all our three matches, but that I believe will happen in our next two games’ he added.

According to Jamil Maraby, who also doubles as the Managing Director of Avanti Solutions, co-organizers of this year’s Glo Top Four Tournament, management, technical team and the playing body of Eleven Wise owe the people of Sekondi and its environs a Premiership qualification ticket after a promise made to Nana Kwabena Nketia V, Omanhene of Esikado, Chief Patron of the club during a call at his palace after qualifying to the Middle League, something that every member of the club sees it as a promise that cannot be failed.

He however revealed that Eleven Wise are set to embark on a four-week training tour in West Africa ahead of the 2009 Onetouch Premier League should their dream of securing a Premiership ticket materialized.

Sekondi Eleven Wise plays West Ham United on Sunday at the Tema Stadium before playing Samartex in their last game next Wednesday.
