Eric Bekoe Collapses

Information reaching www.asantekotokofc.org indicates that the club's mercurial striker and leading top scorer, Eric Bekoe, has been hospitalized at the Nsawam Government Hospital.

The player was rushed to the hospital after he did not respond to calls on him on board the team bus that that they were travelling on to Kumasi, after the Kotoko-Hearts league match in Accra on Sunday.

According to the information, his sudden silence to the calls by his team mates and the fact that he was not answering any of the numerous rings on his phone drew the attention of his colleagues to check on him.

To their shock, Bekoe had passed out and so the bus driver had to make a quick turn to Nsawam Government Hospital (their nearest health facility) for immediate medical attention.

At the time of this posting, he had been revived by the medical staff at the hospital and was responding to treatment.

His progress is being monitored and would be reported accordingly.
