Dong Bortey Now Opts For Asante Kotoko.

The nation might be about to witness one controversial player transfer issue this season if Ghapoha FC decides to let go their most priced assets, Bernard Dong Bortey.

Bortey, who some time last year tendered in his resignation letter to the management of Ghapoha FC and called on his club to negotiate with Accra Hearts of Oak for his transfer to the Phobia family, has now informed the management of Ghapoha FC that he wants to play for Hearts of Oak's rivals, Asante Kotoko in the coming season.

According to credible sources within the management of Ghapoha, Bortey earlier in the year renewed his contract for three years with the Tema based club.

It's Europe or Hasacaas-Moro Issah.

One striker, who is also been rumoured to be heading for Hearts of Oak, is Moro Issah of Sekondi Hasacaas fame and who was and is still on Asante Kotoko's recruitment list.

According to close source, it has been stated that other options available to the striker are either choosing a career in Europe or remaining with his present club side, Sekondi Hasacaas for the coming season. Great Olympics intensify Recruitment Campaign.

After managing to secure a stay in the coming season's premiership, wonder club Accra Great Olympics, has embarked its recruitment with the hope of catching the best available materials on the transfer market.

Although Olympics have given up its pursuit for quality stars, after being denied the chance to negotiate for Mohammed Bello of Power F.C. by the management of Power F.C., the team seems poised on signing on Asante Kotoko's goalkeeper Samuel Quansah together with other talented materials as well.

Sources close to the team add that one player they are still negotiating for is former Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder, Chief Appiah. Close sources indicate that Olympics are close to securing Appiah's services.

Maxbees Sign on Two Gt.Farcos Players.

Newly promoted premier side, Maxbees F.C. have signed on three promising under 17 stars from Great Farcos and Cowlane Babies.

From Great Farcos, Maxbees signed on former Asante Kotoko under 20 star, Kofi Togbui, and Emmanuel Owusu.

According to an official of Great Farcos, the deal is an outright transfer where Great Farcos entitled to 30% of any future transfer whilst Maxbees takes the remaining 70%. They also they managed to secure the services of Cowlane Babies star, Shardoh.

Mean while Kumasi Asante Kotoko yesterday defeated Maxbees F.C by three goals to one in a friendly match played at the Kumasi Sports Stadium.

Maxbees scored the first goal of the match , through Frank Quao in the 38th minute. Kotoko got the equaliser in the 55th minute by striker Abedi Sarfo.

They increased the tally in the 70th minute when Joe Otchere noded in a cross from Augustine Amponsah.

They sealed the game through a penalty kick by captian Godwin Ablordey in the 86th minute.
