Akwety Mensah to play Club World Cup

Egyptian club, Al-Ahly, has included Ghanaian central midfielder Akwety Mensah in the squad that will go to Japan in December to play the FIFA Club World Cup.

The 23-year-old has been with the African champions for the past 2 years. Due to their handicap in the pronunciation of Ghanaian names, Egyptians have chosen to call him "Okuti" Mensah.

"Okuti" will hopefully be seen at the Club World Cup, to be held in Japan between 10 and 17 December. The champions of all the continental competitions will play: Barcelona, Internacional (Brazil, winner of the Copa Libertadores), Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors (Republic of Korea), Am?rica (Mexico), Al- Ahly Sporting Club (Egypt) and Auckland City FC (New Zealand).

All the teams have already submitted their squad lists.

GKs: Essam El Hadary, Amir Abdelhamid and Nader El Sayed

Defenders: Islam El Shater, Tarek Said, Emad El Nahas, Ahmed El Sabed, Wael Gomaa, Shady Mohamed, Ahmed Sedik, Mohamed Abdellah, Shadid Ahmed, Abdellah Galal, Mohammed Sedik.

Midfielders: Wael Riad, Osma Ashour, Hassan Mostaza, Akwety Mensah (Ghana), Mohamed Shawky.

Forwards: Emad Moteb, Osama Hosny, Mohamed Aboutrika and Flavio (Angola).
