Zambia coach Herve Renard is confident his side will meet Ghana in the final of the Africa Nations Championship in the Ivory Coast on Sunday.

The Frenchman worked as an assistant to his countryman Claude Le Roy when he was in charge of the Black Stars for two years.

With both sides through to the semi-finals after finishing top of their groups, Herve is confident they will meet in the final.

"I am praying that Ghana go through to the final of the competition because I will be happy to meet them there," Renard said.

"I think that they have a very good side and I want to meet them in the final so that we can teach them some lessons.

"Because I have worked with the Ghana team before I will be overly happy if we manage to beat them in the final."

Zambia will meet DR Congo in the semi-final in Abidjan while Ghana take on Senegal in Bouake.
