Yamoah insists Hearts of Oak was his first choice

Newly acquired Hearts of Oak midfielder Richard Yamoah says it had always been his dream to play for the rainbow club.

The former Sekondi Hasaacas captain is reported to have snubbed defending champions Asante Kotoko and penned a three-year deal with the capital club.

Yamoah is expected to bolster Hearts and help the club regain its status as domestic and continental powerhouse.

“For me it was always an easy choice, once Hearts were interested I wanted to go there,” Yamoah told GHANASoccernet.com.

“I admit things are not as smooth as they used to be but class they say is permanent and form is temporary.

“I have always wanted to play for this club and I am happy to have signed for them.”
