Ghana’s assistant coach Maxwell Konadu says the Black Stars must not underrate their group opponents in the qualifiers for the 2018 World Cup as they are capable of pulling surprises.

The Black Stars have been drawn in a tricky group to play Uganda, Congo and Egypt for the group's sole ticket for the tournament in Russia.

Konadu says the fact that the three countries in group have secured tickets for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, they must be taken seriously.

"No we cannot underrate any national today but I think we have to put our house in order prepare very well and tackle the qualifiers," he said.

"So it's going to be difficult because these days in football there is no way you can underrate any country.”

Bookmakers believe Egypt is the only team that can pull a threat to Black Stars in their group.
