Asante Kotoko forward Obed Owusu is certain that their victory over rivals Hearts of Oak will serve as the catalyst to spur them on to higher heights this season.

The Porcupine Warriors for the sixth time running recorded a favorable result at the Accra Sports Stadium after defeating the former CAF Champions League winners 1-0 in the derby clash on Monday.

“We are happy for this win but I think that is not all, we have to do well in our upcoming games,” he told pressmen.

“This win has motivated us a lot. It has boosted us for our next game, we hope we continue with this kind of performance.

“It was not an easy game, but we gave our best and we were able to get the three points.”

Kotoko will next host Ebusua Dwarfs at the Babayara Sports Stadium.
