Ghanaian midfielder Enoch Kofi Adu says his side Malmo FF have what it takes to survive the stern test in the Uefa Champions League.

The Swedish champions have been paired in the same group with Real Madrid, PSG and Shakhtar Donetsk.

Last season, Malmo failed to advance from the group stages after finishing fourth in a group that contained Atletico Madrid, Juventus and Olympiacos.

But the former Club Brugge player is hopeful of Malmo’s chances despite being paired in another tough group.

“It is a very interesting group, but I believe we can do our best to qualify. For me, I am very much excited and motivated to play against big teams in Europe,” the former Ghana U17 midfielder told Goal, immediately after the draw on Thursday.

He added: “I think I have amassed some experience in big European matches and together with my teammates, we should be able to make it.”

The Liberty Professionals product asserts that he will extend his consistency from last season in order to get a Ghana call-up.

“I am always working hard to ensure my team does well. I will always relish playing for the Black Stars, so if the call-up comes, I will happily jump for it.”

Adu’s Malmo made it to the group stage after defeating Scottish giants Celtic 4-3 on aggregate.
