Management board member of Techiman City, Kwame Zion has threatened officials of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) with evoking a curse after their club was demoted to division 2 for allegedly playing a fixed game against Wa Africa United during the 2014/15 GN Bank Division One League (DOL) season.

The Ethics Committee of the GFA ruled on allegation brought before it by Wa African who alleged in a letter that they were given GH¢2,000.00 (Two Thousand Ghana Cedis) by Techiman City FC as well as other payments for feeding to play a match of convenience.

President of Techiman City, Charles Kwadwo Kumi alias, Micky Charles has denied those allegations and threatened the league with court injunction that is likely to delay the start of the league scheduled for February, 20.
Kwame Zion a board member and a stench fan of Techiman city has hit hard at the GFA and issued orders to the association to reverse the Ethics committee demotion ruling before anything evil befalls everyone involved in the case.

In an interview with Kumasi based, Boss fm, Kwame said, “The manner in which the Ghana Football Association (GFA) is handling and treating Techiman city is not fair. After qualifying to the premier league the FA sent details as to what we ought to do now that we’re a premier league club so I am surprised the GFA then now comes back with an Ethic committee ruling demoting us to division 2.”

“We’ve devoted money, human resources and so many things in readiness for the 2015/16 league season as I speak now Lepowura M.N.D Jawula has visited our home grounds and the recommendations we’re putting to work now.”
“Are we the people of Techiman City stupid? An official of Football in Ghana insults the people of Techiman and go scot-free only proves we (Techiman City) are alone and left to our fate in terms of football in Ghana. Is this the first time a bribery allegation has hit Ghana football?

“We will curse the GFA with all of the deities available to us, I swear to God and on my dead mum We the people of Techiman city will troop to the GFA premises and rant on them curses if they dare us. We order the FA to reverse their decision or else we will prove to them we have the best and efficient deity in Ghana,” he added.

Techiman City are yet to present their case before the appeals committee.
