An Executive Committee member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Wilfred Osei Palma has called for the refocusing of the agenda of the Association to achieve its set objectives and targets.

According to him, though the GFA had been transparent, there is the need to work and put in place adequate measures to ensure that it clears the perceived bad image people have about the FA.

He said ‘‘there is the need to refocus and rechannel the FA towards achieving our set objectives. If we decide to go as we are doing now, we will not reach our destination. It behooves on those of us who have being elected to ensure that we change the face of the GFA.

“We have been transparent to a level but we cannot say everything is perfect with our association. What we need to do is to ensure that we put in place adequate measures that will let us look good in the public eye. Do you think I am happy when we are being lambasted by the media all the time? I am not happy’’.

The Tema Youth FC Director stressed that ‘‘we need to find an antidote if we want to enhance our image in the public, if we want people to take us serious, then we really have to look at the way we do our things at the FA, in terms of our cooperate governance and how we relate to the other stakeholders’’.

He said the newly elected Executive Committee must collaborate and put their acts together to move the agenda of the GFA forward.
