Vipers win Anniversary Cup

Cape Coast, March 7, GNA - Cape Coast Venomous Vipers on Wednesday beat their local rivals, Ebusua Dwarfs 5-4 on penalties to lift the Independence anniversary Cup in a special match played at the Robert Mensah Sports Stadium at Cape Coast.

In a match of equals the two teams played an entertaining and uncompromising game to end the full time goalless. Each of the Clubs received 15 million cedis from the Central Regional Coordinating Council.

Mr Ato Arthur, the Central Regional Minister later presented the Cup to the victorious Vipers team.

In a related development, Students of Pedu Seminary whipped a team of Central Region Radio Presenters 5-2 in an friendly match to mark the independence celebrations.
