Vipers beat Liberty Soccer Academy in a friendly

Cape Coast, Aug. 15, GNA - Cape Coast Venomous Vipers clinched a narrow 2-1 victory over Cape Coast Liberty Rainbow Soccer Academy in a friendly football match played at the Robert Mensah Sports stadium. Rainbow Soccer Academy, a Second Division side, matched Vipers squarely during the proceedings and nearly took the lead in the 10th minute but midfielder Mohammed Mustapha's shot sailed over the bar. Vipers then took control of the match and dictated the pace of the game but had to wait until the 40th minute when inside right, Anthony Annan scored the opener in the 44th minute.

They continued to the dictate affairs on resumption of the second half and it came as no surprise when Annan was on hand again to raise his side's goal tally to two in the 65th minute. Soccer Academy's Mustapha who played a yeoman's game atoned for his earlier miss to pull back a goal for his side before the final whistle. 15 Aug. 06
