Venomous Vipers whip local rivals Dwarfs

Cape Coast, August 28, GNA - Relegation haunted Cape Coast Venomous Vipers on Wednesday caused a sensation when they whipped their local rivals, Ebusua Dwarfs 4-0 in their Division One League match played at the Robert Mensah Stadium, Cape Coast.

Vipers, lying at the bottom of the Zone 2B league table with 10 points, led 2-0 at half time from goals scored in the 20th and 25th minutes by midfielder Jonathan Ghansah and centre half Seidu Rahaman. On resumption of the second half, the hope of Dwarfs of drawing level with their rivals were shattered when Rahaman increased his side's goal tally to three in the 75th minute.

Vipers continued to pile pressure on Dwarfs and it came as no surprise when outside right, Vincent Bekoe sealed their doom with another goal in the 80th minute. Results of other league matches were Sekondi Eleven Wise spanked Feyenord 3-0 while Samatex beat Windy Professionals 2-1.
