Under 19 Women's soccer team named

Accra, Mar. 9, GNA - The Ghana Football Association has requested 33 female soccer players to report for camping at the Winneba Sports College on Friday March 12 for preparation towards the junior ECOWAS competition in Nigeria.

The Technical Director of the GFA, Mr Fred Osam Dodoo on behalf of the General Secretary of the GFA in a Press Release copied to the GNA Sports said the players are being called for camping to form the cream of the Under-19 Women's Soccer team.

Mr Dodoo said the players were selected during the National Schools and Colleges Sports Festival.

The players invited has the Western Region with eight players made up of Gifty Appiah, Diana Mensah, Samiratu Sulemana, Agnes Kwofie, Sabina Mensah, Helena Mensah, Nancy Coleman and Francisca Koomson. The Northern, Brong Ahafo and Greater Accra Regions have four players each. Those selected from the Northern Region are, Eunice Mintah, Abdul Mumin Sakina, Yusif Anyinaawu and Basoboro John Fati. From the Brong Ahafo Region are Priscilla Annor, Eunice Serwa, Vida Anyellevielle and Janet Tiwaa while those from the Greater Accra Region are Irene Ann Ofori, Comfort Enyonam Dunyo, Edna Darkoah and Zinabu Musah.

Those invited from the Upper East Region include Salifu Sadia, Abiba Mary and Mercy Adu-Boahene while from the Eastern Region come Lydia Addo, Gloria Barning Gyamfi and Regina Yeboah.

The Ashanti Region has Leticia Zikpi, Esther Fosua and Cecilia Frema while from the Volta Region are Yusif Kpinini Hudu and Bridget Afordefe with Dorcas Otoo and Margaret Aidoo coming from the Central Region.
