Under-17 soccer championship underway in Tamale

Accra, March 26, GNA - Eight colts teams from Northern Region will commence the battle for the single slot in the Coca Cola Under-17 Soccer Tournament in Tamale on Friday, March 26. The teams are made up of Real Republicans, Great Eagles FC, Great Heroes, Shooting Starlets, Liberty Babies, Super Standfast, Young Goldfields and Young Kotoko.

The ultimate winner will represent the region in the national Coca Cola Under-17 Soccer Championship in Accra next month. The ultimate winner will in addition take home GHC400, a trophy, certificate and Coca Cola products, whilst the second placed team will receive GHC350, a certificate and products from the sponsors. The two day championship is under the instruction of veteran coaches Emmanuel Kwesi Afranie, Francis Oti Akenteng and will be assisted by Frimpong Manso and Tony Baffoe.
