Dentaa Amoateng, a former management member of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, has shared insights into the travel preparations of Ghanaian football icon, Asamoah Gyan, and his companion, Franklin, for their brief visit to Zimbabwe.

Through a TikTok post, Amoateng showcased the array of culinary delights that Gyan and Franklin packed for their journey - a collection so extensive it humorously prompted her to question whether they had brought along the entirety of Accra's food supply.

The assortment included traditional Ga kenkey, spicy shito, sardines, corned beef, fried fish, bread loaves, canned milk, and gari, ensuring a taste of home while abroad.

The bond between Amoateng and Gyan is longstanding, with some accounts suggesting she once managed the football star.

Amoateng also recently served on the Asante Kotoko board before its dissolution by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

Gyan's legacy as the Black Stars' most prolific striker is undisputed, with an impressive tally of 51 international goals.

His World Cup achievements are particularly notable, having scored six times—a first record for any African player.
