Tetteh in transfer wrangle

IFK Gothenburg revealed on Wednesday that they have still not received a penny of the ?65,000 transfer fee they agreed two years ago with Turkish side Vanspor for Emmanuel Tetteh. "We are completely pissed off," admitted IFK director Kurt Eliasson.

Fifa sided with Gothenburg at a hearing into the dispute last spring and banned Vanspor from European competition and the international transfer market until the cash was handed over.

But so far the censure has had no effect. "It is unbelievable," Eliasson continued. "The penalty seems to be totally useless. But we will keep fighting for our money."

The Swedish club have now sent a new letter to Fifa, with demands for further sanctions against Vanspor.

Gothenburg sold Ghanaian star Tetteh to Vanspor in 1999, but he was quickly moved on to another Turkish side. Vanspor continue to insist that they owe IFK nothing.
