Task Force for Black Stars World Cup qualification set up

Accra, Feb. 19, GNA - A task Force for the qualification of the Black Stars for the 2006 FIFA World Cup to take place in Germany has been set up by the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

A statement issued in Accra on Thursday by the GFA and signed by Mr. Ben Kofie, GFA's Chairman, said the task force would ensure that the senior national football team was sufficiently prepared and facilitated enough to qualify for the tournament.

The task Force would be responsible to an inter-ministerial committee at cabinet level, which is to be set up for the same purpose. Members of the task force include Mr Karl Tuffuor, the Public Relations Officer for the Food and Drugs Board, Mr Sam Arday, Technical Director of Feyenord football club, Major Don Chebe (rtd) a Corporate Affairs manager and Mr Kojo Quarshie, a business executive.

The rest are Mr O.B. Amoah, a Lawyer, Mr. Victor Auiakpor, Chief Executive Kpando Hears of Lions football club, Mr Oheneba Charles Nyarko, a business executive, Mr Fred pappoe, executive council member of the GFA and Mr Abrah Appiah, a banker.
