Sulley is sorry- Dad

ALHAJI MUNIRU Sulley is on his knees, almost in tears, begging Ghanaians to forgive his son, Sulley Muntari for the recent outburst of the mother.

Sulley’s mother, Hajiya Kande recently caused a stir when she openly stated that without her son the senior national team, the Black Stars would no longer be a force to reckon with in international soccer.

“No Sulley, no Black Stars”, 42-year-old Hajiya Kande said on Fox FM in Kumasi recently.

These unguided remarks have naturally attracted disaffection and hatred for the Inter Milan player in football circles lately, especially when Ghana without Sulley, managed to trounce Mali 2-0.

The father of the Ghana international insisted, Sulley’s mother, Hajiya Kande erred when she made such unguided remarks on radio.

“I am the head of the family and on behalf of my son Sulley Muntari and his mother Hajiya Kande I apologize to Ghanaians for the unguided remarks made by the player’s mother,” he said in a chat with Tom Kruger of Fox FM.

He described as a hoax, reports that Sulley feigned injury just to dodge featuring for Ghana in its duel with Mali, explaining, Sulley is in France seeking medication for his injury.

Rumours are rife in sports circles of late that Sulley is a Nigerian, but Alhaji Muniru Sulley explained that he as the father has Nigerian relations whom he lost contact with for the past 30 years.

He explained further that the Inter Milan ace was born in Nigeria and raised in Ghana, emphasizing that the player is a Ghanaian that is why he plays for the Black Stars.

Alhaji Sulley implored soccer fans to continue giving their unflinching support to his son so that he could sustain his good performance for Mother Ghana.
