Still No Sign of Nyarko

THERE IS still no trace of Alex Nyarko after the Ghanaian international walked out on Everton shortly after the game against Arsenal.

He was absent from training for the third successive day on Tuesday and now faces a heavy fine from the club.

There are suggestions today that although he has said he has retired from the game completely, Nyarko is reportedly keen on a return to France, where is is still held in high regard after his spell with Lens.

Meanwhile, even the Ghananian Football Association have lost track of the AWOL midfielder, but they do remain confident of persuading him to reconsider his decision.

Ghana FA spokesman Alex Asante said: "Alex is a very popular guy over here. He has a huge fan club and I am sure they will make him see it is not worth throwing his career away over this."
