Stevanovic okays Alhassan for left-back position

Accra, Dec. 15, GNA - Black Stars coach Goran Stevanovic has affirmed his decision to leave out Tunisia-based defender Harrison Afful in his squad for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Serbian rather picked Italy-based youngster Massawudu Alhassan ahead of the Esperance defender as he named his provisional 25-man squad for the tournament.

Defending his choice of the Genoa-based defender at a press conference on Thursday to announce his squad for the event in Accra, coach Stevanovic cited that Alhassan is a natural left player.
