Stars coach to go wide on monitoring mission

Accra, March 15, GNA - Black Stars coach Goran Stevanovic has hinted of an extensive monitoring of Ghanaian players abroad beginning next month.

The Stars trainer will map out a schedule after the double header against Congo in Brazzaville on March 27 and two days later in London against England.

Coach Stevanovic told GNA Sports on Tuesday that the planned trip abroad is to fraternize with the players, the main actors for the execution of his tasks.

Since taking over barely two months ago, the Serb has had audiences with English based duo Sulley Muntari and Michael Essien, which resulted in the Muntari's return to the national team.

"I also went to Milan, but I did not meet Boateng (Kevin). I also plan to meet Gyan (Asamoah) and others. I want to be in constant touch with my players, especially the key ones".

The coach is expected to fix his trip along the schedules of the targeted players.

It is widely expected that the coach will travel to Germany, Netherlands, Italy and Egypt, which has a dozen of Ghanaian players. Coach Stevanovic took over the reigns of the team last month replacing compatriot Milovan Rajevac, now in charge of Qatar's national team.
