Starlets Osei attracts Tottenham interest

English Premier League side Tottenham are keen on signing Ghana’s under-17 World Cup striker Ransford Osei.

The speedy 16-year-old, who plays for Kessben FC, has been impressive after scoring five goals at the ongoing tournament.

English newspaper the Daily Mirror reported on Thursday that Spurs' spying supremo Damien Comolli has asked Osei to come to White Hart Lane after the competition in Korea.

Kessben FC confirmed that the in-demand striker has attracted several offers from top European clubs.

“We have received several offers for from to clubs in England and elsewhere in Europe,” Randy Abbey CEO of Kessben FC said.

“We are still fighting for third place at the tournament so we must make sure we pick up the bronze medal first.

“I can assure you that we will take Osei’s future into consideration when choosing a club for him to ensure that he is nurtured into a world-class player.”

Osei is one of the several players of the Black Starlets being targeted by European clubs.
