Oguaa Poly win special Panafest gala

Cape Coast, July 28, GNA- The Cape Coast polytechnic on Sunday, emerged champions of a special soccer gala competition, held as a prelude to the Panafest 'youth day' celebration, which has been slated for Wednesday, July 30. They beat Cape Coast HIV/AIDS awareness club 2- 0 in the finals of the competition, which was organised by the 'youth day' planning committee.

Mr. Japhiyah Clavell, an African-American, and a lecturer at the University of Cape Coast, and chairman of the committee presented the trophy to the winners and a plaque to the runners-up. In all, five teams, all of them from Cape Coast, took part in the gala. The central regional secretariat of the Ghana Wildlife Society, also organised fun games to round off the inauguration of wildlife clubs in 30 basic schools in the municipality. Sports disciplines competed in were soccer, sack and lime and spoon races as well as eating competition.
