Spiritualist predicts success for Black Stars

Hohoe, June 9, GNA - A spiritualist at Hohoe in the Volta Region of Ghana has predicted that the Senior National Team, the Black Stars would qualify from the group stages in their debut appearance at the World Cup Tournament in Germany.

He said this would however depend on Ghanaians backing the team with unwavering prayers during the duration of the matches. Pastor Emmanuel Agbeve of the Likpe branch of Akorfafa Nami Church told the GNA Sports at Hohoe that even though the Black Stars have been tagged as the underdogs of Group E, "God has religiously decided to make them the leaders of the group", provided there was full spiritual support from the Ghanaian populace.

Black Stars are drawn in their group alongside Italy, United States and the Czech Republic.

Pastor Agbeve said the Stars would win two matches and lose one match adding that the Stars opening match against Italy on June 12 is a must-win game and predicting a 2-1 score line. =91The Man of God=92 acknowledged the inclusion of Sammy Osei Kufuor in the team, describing him as the spiritual nerve and a good omen, with the skipper Stephen Appiah as the physical mentor.

Pastor Agbeve said recent events as reported in the media was making the Serbian Head Coach Ratomir Dujkovic skeptical about his loyalty and concentration to deliver and called for circumspection and fullest support to enable the coach perform his duties throughout the competition. 9 June 06
