Ghanaian coach Sellas Tetteh has opened up about the confusion that marred his appointment as head coach of Sierra Leone national team.

The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) announced the decision to hand him the job before the Sports Ministry rejected his appointment in a dramatic twist of events.

Eventually the situation was resolved and Sellas Tetteh made his return for a second spell with the Leone Stars, after a temporary appointment in 2014.

A month later into the job, the 62 year old manager is still dealing with the fall outs;

“I’m still managing the situation. You know sometimes the issue of football and politics but I want to do a good job and leave a legacy. So issue between FA and the Ministry I don’t have much to say about it I just want to leave a strong legacy”

Asked whether the situation has affected his job, he answered;

“I’ve been in this job for a very very long time and have gone through several difficulties and challenges so these are things that won’t frustrate me. Though it will be there I will still manage”
