Satellites Invited to Camp Minus Top Stars.

Ghana’s national under-20 team, the Black Satellites would begin preparations for this year’s World Youth Cup in July to be hosted by Argentina, without some of the teams top stars.

Players missing from coach E.K. Afranie’s squad are Stephen Oduro, Frank Turkson, Ishmael Addo, Charles Taylor and Stephen Tetteh.

According to the coach, “the door has not yet been slammed on anybody because the justify-your-inclusion exercise is still on-going”.

E.K. Afranie, also stated that he learnt a lot during the African Youth Championship in Ethiopia, where the Black Satellites placed second to Angola “and it is only proper that we cleaned up the mess and shape up the rough edges in the team before facing the world”.

The players invited are; Owusu Banahene and George Owu both of (Hasacaas), Amamoo (Dawu Youngsters) all goalkeepers.

Others are; Lawrence Kainya and Kwaku Duah (Kotoko) Patrick Villars and Amonoo Johnson (Dwarfs) Yahaya Ibrahim, John Painstil(Berekum Arsenals) Nathaniel Nelson and Isaac Kwarteng (Kwaebibirem).

The rest are; Richard Anderson (GHAPOHA) Yusif Alhassan (King Faisal) Okaidja Thompson (Tops) John Cudjoe(Capital Express) Sulley Muntari and Emmanuel Pappoe(Liberty Professionals) Matthew Owusu(Bofoakwa) Inusah Abass(Real Sportive) and Richard Adjei(Great Olympics)
