Sammy Adjei: I could join Kotoko next season

Accra Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Sammy Adjei says he will have no problem in joining bitter archrivals Asante Kotoko.

Adjei, who was instrumental in the Hearts of Oak 2000 CAF Champions League winning team, has seen less number of minutes on the field under Coach David Duncan.

The 32-year-old Ghana international has fallen down the pecking order in the goalkeepers department behind Tetteh Luggard and Philemon McCarthy and that has thrown his future with the club to the wilderness.

The ex-Club Africain last man of defense admits he will not be perturbed if joining Kotoko will guarantee him much playing time.

“I will welcome a move to join Kotoko if I am given the chance,” Adjei told Happy FM. Yes, I have no problem joining Kotoko as I am a professional,” he said.

Adjei, who made 37 appearances for Ghana Black Stars, revealed that he is having a difficult relationship with Coach Duncan, who does not speak to him despite his ever present at training grounds.
